What is osCommerce (osC)
osC is an ecommerce open source tool for selling your goods online; it's the
most mature shopping cart when compared to others with equal features. It not only
provides a shopping cart that visitors to your web site use to purchase your products, but
also provides you, the web site owner, with a simple admin web based interface to
add/update/delete your products at any time and from anywhere in the
World using a standard web browser like Internet Explorer. Also, within the admin
section you can:
- customise your ecommerce web site
(shop name, shop address, email settings, etc)
- view/edit/delete new orders and customers
- process orders - notifying customers when you are:
- Processing their order, or
- Dispatching their order, or
- Cancelling their order.
All completed with a few clicks. NO technical knowledge required, you can
add thousands of products in tens, or even hundreds, of categories; for more details try

osC default configuration and support
We specialise in osC, by default osC is configured for use in the United
States. Our installations of osC are configured for UK use and have
the WorldPay payment module already installed, with additional comprehensive set-up
documentation provided, and ready to use.
The first year of hosting a new osC account requires good support, support that
understands the product (we often complete bespoke work for many of our clients - from
creating special reports that can be run in osC admin to changing the way the shopping
cart operates).
If you decide to go elsewhere to host your osC site then ensure the host
can help with osC when required, and that they understand the application.
